I've tried and tested hundreds of kitchen tools over the past four years, so I know firsthand that finding the best tools to stock your kitchen will not only make life easier, but it will also save you (lots of) money.
Below you'll find the exact kitchen tools that I use and recommend for meal prepping, cooking, and food storage.
Before you dive in, I want to note that you certainly don't need to buy all (or any of) these things to get started. I started with the bare minimum and I still made amazing progress on my health and fitness journey (although investing in these tools has certainly made my life easier!) The key is to get started with what you have and slowly invest in the tools that you need to take your health and fitness to the next level.

Meal Prepping Tools
Blender (my recommendation)
From blending smoothies to pureeing soups, a blender is hands-down one of my favorite tools for speeding up meal prep. Not only will you be able to prepare healthy snacks, but you can easily use it to whip up quick dinners for your family.
Can Opener (my recommendation)
One of the most essential tools that you can have in your kitchen is a can opener. Whether you're opening a can of coconut milk for some delish curry or tuna for the perfect tuna salad, you want to make sure this is one tool you always have handy.
Chefs Knife (my recommendation)
There is one knife that I highly recommend that you invest in and that's a chef's knife. A chef's knife is a must in the kitchen for chefs and home cooks alike for slicing, dicing, mincing, and chopping up your favorite ingredients.
Corer (my recommendation)
There are certain kitchen tools you'll find that you will use more often than not and a corer is definitely one of those tools. With the corer, you'll easily be able to core apples for a delicious pie or pears for delectable crisps.
Cutting Boards (my recommendation)
There aren't too many things I'm a stickler about, but having multiple cutting boards is definitely a non-negotiable. Not only is it helpful when you're preparing multiple meals, but it's great for reducing the chance of cross-contamination.
Knife Sharpener (my recommendation)
If you've ever watched my cooking show you've probably heard me say that one of the most dangerous things in the kitchen is a dull knife. That's why having a knife sharpener is a tool that I wholeheartedly believe every single person needs in their kitchen.
Measuring Cups and Spoons (my recommendation)
As much as I love that Rachel Ray is the Queen of "eyeballing it" I have experienced more than a few fails trying to do the same. Needless to say a measuring cup and spoon set is something you definitely want to invest in.
Peeler (my recommendation)
Fruits and vegetables are a large staple in my weekly meal preparation, which is why having a peeler is essential. Not only does it help you easily peel fruits and vegetables, but it's safe for even the kids to use.
Baking Sheet (my recommendation)
A baking sheet is a perfect tool in your kitchen for making everything from delicious treats to savory vegetables. Plus, the great thing about baking sheets is that they are easy to clean which means you can be in and out of the kitchen in minutes.
Cooking Thermometer (my recommendation)
When you're cooking with meat a non-negotiable in the kitchen is going to be a cooking thermometer. Not only is this great for grilling, but also baking your favorite meats.
Cookware Set (my recommendation)
No matter what type of cook you are, everyone needs a cookware set. From your stockpot to your skillet, having the right cookware is going to be essential for preparing healthy meals for you and your family.
Flavor Guide (my recommendation)
Whether you're a professional chef or a home cook like me, The Flavor Bible is going to be a must-have for anyone looking to take the flavor of your dishes to the next level. Not only will you get amazing ideas, but you'll know what pairs best with what to create delicious meals the whole family will love.
Grill Pan (my recommendation)
Having a grill pan in your kitchen arsenal is going to be the perfect solution from everything from those southern dishes your grandma used to make to that delicious grilled salmon you just need to make quick for dinner. This grill plan will give you those beautiful grill marks without having to leave the comfort of your kitchen.
Kitchen Utensils Set (my recommendation)
There's nothing more annoying when you're ready to cook dinner than having to run to the store last minute to buy a kitchen gadget. That's why having a kitchen utensils set that has everything you'll need for meal prep is a must-have.
Oven Mitts (my recommendation)
When you're cooking with the oven or the stove safety is always going to be a priority. That's why I highly recommend having a pair of oven mitts to keep your little mitts safe from harm.
Splatter Screen (my recommendation)
The thing about grease is that it's not only hot but incredibly messy. That's why having a splatter screen is going to be a must-have to not only guard your skin, but it's essential for making cleanup a lot less sticky.
Glass Bake and Store Containers (my recommendation)
Two foundational pieces of a well-stocked kitchen are bakeware and food storage. Why not combine the best of both worlds with bake and store containers! Not only are they great for cooking, but it makes it easy to take your meals from the oven to the fridge.
Glass Food Storage Set (my recommendation)
Now that you have prepared all those delicious meals for you and your family, you'll need a place to store them. Glass food storage sets are the perfect tool when you're eating on the go and can easily take your meals from the fridge to the microwave.
Glass Meal Prep Containers (my recommendation)
Whether you're a busy mom or an exec trying to prioritize your health, meal prep is going to be essential. That's why having the right meal prep containers is going to help you not only store your meals but to give you something quick to grab when you're on the go.
